If you only communicate via email, there is a permanent paper trail. I would say only communicate via email. Any texts you get, reply 'please email me'

I kept a calendar. Every visit that he misses or cut short was documented during our 14 month long custody fight. It was used as an exhibit at trial to show that he bailed on the kids 25/30 weekends.

See a as a single father with soul custody, I told my daughters mother directly “we are not friends, we are not family, we are nothing more to each other than the parents of that little girl. I don’t want to talk to you about the weather, or what’s going on in our lives. If you have a question about her fine, outside of that we don’t talk. Unless it’s about her.” She tried to say I had to talk to her and I told her “not unless it involves our daughter, everything else isn’t part of that” it took her about three months to realize I was serious. It’s been 7 years now and she’s not bothered me once, she’s also slowly stopped talking to our daughter so there’s that.

We have a court appointed app. Sucks to pay for, but the $6 a month is so worth it. He doesn’t dare lie or heckle me in that app 👏👏

I screenshot everything, all communication is done through text, if its a call it gets recorded. I dont respond on weekends during my time (if its not an emergency it can wait till Monday)

I only communicate via text. And I screenshot conversations and email them to myself with the subject being what it was about

we communicate via talkingparents. can’t edit any messages or delete them, and phone calls are recorded and transcribed. has helped tremendously with holding him accountable

i refused any other communication other than with his sister through email. can’t delete. i removed the gmail app off my phone friday 6pm until monday 8am. no emotion in my responses, nothing can be deleted and if anything is tried to change, i just send a screenshot of yeh court order
