Sit and stand stroller. New Yorkers are friendly until you take up the entire sidewalk. Also, remember most restaurants are small in NYC. Walk as much as you can. Enjoy my former city. It’s the best city in the country.

I have no kids but I'd imagine a double wide stroll especially on marathon weekend would be dreadful

Having kids on marathon weekend is a nightmare. Your best bet is just picking one location the day of the marathon and not moving. Choose somewhere like the upper east so you can sit at a restaraunt, watch Chris go by then make your way to the park

Baby carrier for Briggs.. stroller for Coops. The less on the street the better. If you can Cooper on a carrier I suggest that … the city is crowded on a not

Def going to be too wide! The smaller the stroller the better. We bought my niece the old school collapsible stroller and just donated it after 🙂↕️

DO NOT BRING A DOUBLE STROLLER! Google Maps is great for navigating public transit. The bus is great, since not all subway stations have an elevator. The major stations will have an elevator (W4, 34th, 42nd, etc)

Twin mom who lives in NYC and therefore has no choice but to use a double stroller - a double stroller will fit, but if you plan on taking public transportation, most subway stops don’t have elevators so you need to be able to carry it up and down stairs. And on buses, you have to fold it up so use something that collapses easily! NYC with kids is the best. Don’t let people scare you!

NOOO double stroller. honestly if you think you can handle it i’d carry briggs in a baby bjorn and bring a really tiny collapsible stroller for coop (have him hold your hand and walk as much as possible) you’ll probs want him close on the subways anyways! i would also maybe stick to ubers for the fam bc marathon weekend gets NUTS on the subways

As a 24 year old with no kids I would say Briggs one of you should wear, cooper stroller - if you have one that’s easily collapsible!!

Do not do double stroller!! Foldable travel strollers and public transportation - especially bus (clean and fun for kids but slow). Have carrier as an option for shorter trips around the city and for marathon navigating. A double stroller will not do well on the narrow sidewalks!!

If you bring a stroller definitely not the double wide. Add a skate board attachment to the back of one stroller for coop. Or- he can sit in the basket that is under the stroller.

Not sure how NY is during marathon week or how to do it with 2 kiddos but we went in May w our baby and we used the subway everyday & took a travel stroller. Subway was pretty easy to use, just keep in mind many stops don’t have elevators. In your case, i recommend seeing if you can rent a stroller out there (maybe w a toddler attachment for coop to ride along) and also maybe rent car seats if you guys might just use Ubers/taxis. I also recommend the Tushbaby for Briggs! So much easier to carry them if not using a reg baby carrier.
