Alot of people don’t get it. Average in this context means “ not the best, but not the worst” so basically you can in fact do anything you try to do, you just won’t be able to do it as best as it can be done. You’re not using other things as a measure for what’s average. If you try to swim, you’re average. You can’t swim incredibly well, but you won’t drown either. If you try to invent a cure to cancer, you probably won’t make a full cure, but it’s won’t be a failure. So it works a bit

The whole discussion around that Average superpower thing doesn’t work. If nobody has ever done something before, there are 0 observed results. Normally, the average would be calculated as: sum of all results ÷ number of results. But in this case that would be 0 ÷ 0, which is undefined. So the power has no average to base your ability on. And if you’re the first person to do it, your result would create the first observed average, while at the same time your result is supposed to be determined by that average in the first place. So it becomes a paradox or more accurately, a self referential loop
