I mean they can also look for cheaper options 🤷🏻♀️it’s not like you’re looking at only one house there are thousands of houses we can just look for the cheaper ones ☺️

Or hear me out, no cleaning fee, the guest are not required to clean. It’s handled like a hotel or the industry ends.

Cleaning fees are already too high and Airbnb should cap a cleaning fee at no more than like 50 bucks tonight

they didn't miss the mark... THEY ALREADY CHARGE A LOT FOR CLEANING FEE.. HOW ABOUT GIVE THE WHOLE CLEANING FEE TO THE CLEANER CAUSE IT SOUNDS LIKE THEY ARE KEEPING MAJORITY AND PAYING THEM MINIMAL...

No I don’t want to clean and I don’t want to pay them to clean. That’s an operating expense for the owner.

Airbnb was losing business, it was no longer cost efficient to stay at an Airbnb instead of a hotel, if I have to pay to stay and a $100-200 cleaning fee on TOP of my rental fee I’ll stay in a hotel instead, It may be a wash money wise but I don’t have to clean.

I like having the option with the checkout list presented AND I think Airbnb should do a % cap on what can be charged to a cleaning fee. Like if it doesn’t allow hosts to charge more than 10% of the trip cost to a cleaning fee.

My guess is that now they will have to start paying the cleaners to actually clean, instead of having the guests clean while charging them a "cleaning fee." They can increase the price, doesn't mean people will pay that price.

Cleaning fees are already outrageous and all the cleaning should already be included in the fee. 🤷🏻♀️

Jada | Rentals + Reality :
As a host, I’m not raising my cleaning fee bc these rules don’t really affect us anyway. I’m not for the option of paying a cleaning fee or cleaning it yourself bc too many people would not sanitize it the way it needs to be for a turnover- if I’m staying somewhere the previous guest cleaned I would be paranoid that nothing was cleaned.
