Why would you do that since it would disclose the location of the plane? The point of the plane is to get to the target unnoticed, but firing air to air missiles will make the presence known.

It's sounds all well and good, but bombers are packed with a ton of munitions, like millions of dollars worth. 1 lucky shot taking down a slow moving, albeit, stealthy bomber would hurt way more than a cheap f16 getting shot down. The only way this makes financial sense would be to use drones as "shields" for the bomber, like they would do in ww2. Bombers having fighter escorts. In this case, autonomous drones to fly in front of the incoming missile to take the hit. But... Then your still looking at a multimillion dollar drone, just used as a tank to protect the DPS.... As long as the b21 can fire air to air WELL OUTSIDE the enemy fighters weapon range, it would be "safe" to assume a air fighter role...
