@abc7chicago: Mayor Brandon Johnson filed his nominating petitions Friday, formally entering the race for a second term while continuing to push for support of his budget plan at City Hall. Johnson arrived at the Chicago Board of Elections with a stack of petitions and a small group of supporters cheering in the hallway. His team said he submitted 33,000 signatures, which is more than twice the number required.
