when your abdomen is feeling more stable you should start some diaphragmatic breathing exercises, I'll bet you've been intercostal breathing and your diaphragm is really weak since your lungs have been pushed upwards. focusing on diaphragmatic breathing will eventually reduce the rib flare and you won't get out of breath so much. relearning how to breathe takes time, be patient with yourself darling ❤️

Girly pop!! Search up something called the Emsella chair. It’s amazing for pelvic floor therapy. Wishing you a safe and speedy recovery 🖤

being short of breath after anesthasia is relatively normal. the hospital should have a spirometer to “practice breathing” again. but contact your nurse if it persist!!

the reason why you can't stand straight is due to the weight of the cyst that you had it made you stand differently and now your back isn't straightened out

I couldn’t straighten my back for shield after they took out my tumor in my appendix. Your abs are super compromised since they went through your fascia. I was able to straighten week and half post op

you're hunched back because your body is preventing u from stretching out where the injury is or u are subconsciously trying to avoid being in pain. same thing happened to my laparoscopy i couldn't really stretch my back

after all surgeries that you are under general anesthesia you have to train your lungs, they told me keep trying to take big deep breaths even if it hurts or feels weird

I had a laparoscopic surgery back in Feb for acute appendicitis, so nowhere near as extreme as yours. However I found I was hunched over for a good week or so post surgery, a lot of it was down to the gas pumped through my neck, and it gradually got better ☺️

if the breathing thing gets any worse or isn’t getting better please contact your doctors office! A blood clot in your lungs is a relatively common complication of having surgery and shortness of breath can be the only symptom! Other symptoms to watch for would be chest pain, racing heart (HR >100 while sitting or lying still), or lightheadedness/fainting, in which case you need to go to the ER!
