Hear me out It takes all 7 quarts you forgot one vital step you gotta drain the oil cooler. It’s at the very front underneath the first piece of plastic. On the left. If you don’t drain it, it will only hold like 6 1/2 quarts, but it will muddy up your new oil change. It’s recommended to change it every time you do an oil change because if not, you’ll overflow it just trying to help out man I have 108,000 miles on my hellcat I daily it

You gotta drain the oil cooler and empty the catch cans dude. Plus the 6 quarts in the manual for 15-16 hellcats is a misprint. The oil pan and oil pickup is the exact same as the 17 hellcats cause in 2017 they updated the manual to 7 quart like the rest of their hemis take because under aggressive acceleration the oil pickup has issues picking up 6 quarts and can cause oil starvation. They changed absolutely nothing from 15/16 to 17 when it comes to parts. Plus the 15-16 dipstick through mopar is discontinued but yet 17+ dipsticks are not which is easy confirmation of the oil capacity change. Add that extra quart, drain oil cooler, and empty the catch cans.
