Love this! Technically there's no 'you're welcome' sign (from my understanding). What you signed for it is actually just 'welcome' ... ex. Welcome to my home 🫶🏻

I took ASL in college and had to use it for the first time in 6 years at work. I was rusty af and thankfully they had someone with them, but they were glad I tried 😊 and it made my day being able to use it and remembering what I learned…I do practice simple signs but mostly when talking to myself 😅

When my son was 15 months old he did not speak-speech therapy taught him those basic SL and it helped Soo much!

Thank you for sharing. I’m an infant/ toddler teacher and I teach baby sign. I find it so fascinating. The toddlers pick up really fast actually. Especially like eat, milk, more and help.

Oh my goodness!! I just realized my 6yo who has autism evals in dec (but even his pediatrician and teacher thinks) has been using sign language when he tries to talk 🥲 I knew he knew a couple but I never realized how many he actually uses when he tries to say words….thank you!!
