@newyorkknicksunlimited: KNICKS EMPLOYEES RECEIVE FAKE CHAMPIONSHIP EMAIL IN PHISHING TEST, MSG ADMITS ERROR IN JUDGEMENT NEW YORK -A report by The Athletic revealed the New York Knicks' Assistant coaches were handed empty ring boxes during the opening night ceremony, while Madison Square Garden employees were targeted in a fake ring phishing test. The Athletic reported top assistant coaches Chris Jent, Rick Brunson and Brendan O'Connor were handed empty boxes during the ceremony, with real rings to come later. (Expensive box) "The company had previously sent out an email to its corporate team as a simulation of a phishing attack designed to strengthen our security against hackers," an MSG spokesman said. "MSG was recently hacked and extorted using an employee login and password obtained through a similar phishing attack. Using the rings as a lure to gain employees attention was an unfortunate mistake." (Ok) The spokesman also said the company is still moving forward with its ring plan: "The company is gifting more than 275 championship rings and jewelry to players, coaches, employees and other members of the Knicks family, worth more than $3.7 million, in recognition of their contributions and celebrating this achievement". James Dolan is a terrible Governor.
