I worked in research that is not an accurate test. Add salt if the driveway had salt add water for moisture then do that test again

rust comes from metal fragments on the driveway.like grinding or blades running across them. sounds like you need to disclose it in the contact to prevent any further issue or ppl looking for a payout. there is nothing you can do it is most likely something they did a year ago. it takes year or two to show up

Just surface rust. It wears off after two drives. Anything more is heavy corrosion.
