@adhdchildbootcamp: Show this video to your child with ADHD, aged 7 and up. 💛 How the wrong friends can affect your child with ADHD — even when they have a good heart. 💛 Kids with ADHD often have the biggest hearts in the room. They're loyal, funny, generous, and they want to be liked so badly. But that big heart, mixed with impulsivity, can make them more vulnerable to peer pressure. "Dare you to throw it." "Say it to the teacher — it'll be funny." "If you're really my friend, you'll do it." Some children with ADHD may act before thinking through the consequences. And a child who's felt left out before may say yes just to belong. Then they're the one who gets caught. The one who gets blamed. The one who gets the reputation — while the "friend" walks away. Here's what we talk about at home: 💛 What a real friend does: — Likes you even when you say no — Doesn't laugh at you to look cool — Never asks you to do something that could hurt you or someone else — Sticks around when you're in trouble 🚩 Signs someone might not be a good friend: — They only seem to like you when you take risks — They dare you, then stand back and watch — They tell you to keep secrets from trusted grown-ups — You often feel worried or bad after spending time with them 🛑 How to say no (practise it together!): "Nah, I'm good." "My mum wouldn't want me to do that." "I don't want to." Then walk away and find a trusted grown-up or another friend. For parents: ✅ Role-play tricky moments at home, so the words come more easily when your child needs them. ✅ Encourage healthy friendships — even one supportive friend can make a difference. ✅ Ask gently, "How did you feel after playing with them?" ✅ Never shame your child for wanting to be liked. Help them find people who appreciate them for who they are. Your child doesn't need to change their heart. They deserve friends who respect it. 💛 Watch this together, then ask: "Who makes you feel good about yourself?" 👇 📚 Want to help your child with ADHD navigate friendships and everyday challenges? Regardless of your diagnosis, this applies to every child and adult: the effects of negative energy around you.

I’ve been around smokers, drinkers, and hoes, but I never became one. Your surroundings don’t define you, your choices do. You can be around anything and still choose to be different. At the end of the day, it’s your decisions that determine who you are, not the people around you. 💯

#anitta #anittacy #equilibrivm #rio #girl
