Well Bryce isn’t coming at this from as scientific or physical perspective. He’s answering the pro life argument from a specifically religious perspective and so this guys argument from a purely physical standpoint doesn’t affect it. Bryce is arguing from the biblical idea that abortion is wrong because God created man and woman with inherent dignity (being created in his image) and they have a right to life. The idea that there’s a conjoint twin and the question of whether it has one or two souls is irrelevant to Bryce or his beliefs because whether it was one or two souls present in that mothers womb there still existed at least one person who was worthy of life and so deserved to live. If it turns out there were two then that’s amazing. Not to mention this guy’s argument fails when he bases human life on the brain. There are several cases of human beings who were living persons who have rights and dignity. Sadly these people don’t have long lives but their lives are meaningful nonetheless.

Not gonna lie, you’re arguing abortion he’s just arguing like his Christian values of because there is probability/ probable cause that, that being is going to become a human that being then has value because it has probable cause of becoming a human, that’s literally it, for example something like animals do not have probable cause of becoming humans but whatever you call it even if you call it a clump of cells that clump of cells still has probable cause of becoming a human

Some of these comments are either really dense or arguing in bad faith. Ethan is arguing that what defines a person is the human mind, not the body. A person is defined by human consciousness, intellect, memory, personality, experience, etc.
