Sometimes, one song can bring back a lifetime of memories. Carrie Underwood fought back tears Wednesday night as she sang “I Will Always Love You” to close a Nashville tribute honoring Dolly Parton, turning the emotional performance into a heartbreaking farewell to the country music legend. The moving moment took place during CMA Presents I Will Always Love You at Belmont University’s Fisher Center. As Carrie delivered the beloved classic, the lyrics carried a deeper meaning, reminding fans of Dolly’s extraordinary legacy and the lasting impact she had on generations of artists. Seventeen years earlier, Carrie had stood beside Dolly and performed that very same song during Dolly’s 2009 television holiday special. Back then, they shared the unforgettable moment together, never knowing how meaningful that memory would become years later. Their special connection continued in 2019, when Carrie, Dolly, and Reba McEntire joined forces to co-host the CMA Awards, celebrating the music and traditions that brought country fans together. But Wednesday night, Carrie stood alone. Dolly died August 25 at 80, leaving behind a legacy that will never fade. As Carrie sang their unforgettable song, country music said goodbye to a legend whose voice and kindness will live on forever. #reels #viral #tiktok #reelsvideo #carrieunderwood - @universegloryyy
