My favourite colour is blue, so I painted the whole house different shades of blue. The couch is blue. The rugs. The curtains. The dishes. Everything. But I gave him the home gym to choose. He literally doesn’t care. He understands how much the blue house makes my inner child glow. He would let me paint him blue, if he knew it would make my day. That’s my why. In the early 2000’s my mama was obsessed with lady bugs. My dad redid the whole kitchen lady bug themed. Red walls, black trim. He sponge painted the floor because they couldn’t afford new flooring. Lady bug curtains. She had everything down to a lady bug sponge holder. It was hideous. But my mama was happy, so my dad was happy.
