@monamichigan: And no, the behaviors on the right do not qualify as helping someone through “mental health issues” lol they are simple unacceptable and require boundaries. The person can work through those patterns independently if they really want to change. That’s not your job. Lol I hope this reaches the right person.. please save this! Or send to that friend ❤️❤️ #Love #relationships #selfrespect #boundaries #toxicrelationships
Ask yourself, is it happening TO your partner, or is your partner DOING IT to YOU.

This is actually helpful bc my bf and I have been through lots of life transitions 2025/26 year! I lost my job, we moved from MD to WY, both got new jobs, dealt with financial hardship & burnout. It's been a lot LOL and it's easy to focus on the negatives sometimes. But at the end of the day I feel like we're committed towards each other and we're working towards something good ☺️

Abuse of any kind, infidelity of any kind, prolonged neglect of any kind. let’s add those to the list on the right.

I feel like some on the left can also create behavior on the right. My ex husband suffered job loss and financial hardship but this had him lying about working. He lied about quitting jobs. He was stubborn about what jobs to get and put the burden on finances entirely on me. I tried to support him and work through it but I can’t keep trusting him.

Ehhh he’s had “financial struggle” for 8 years. I used to try to help, throw my $ into his problems, he just got meaner and I gave more and more of myself being the only parent while he worked 7 days a week to dig out of his hole…it’s been 8 years. He’s still in the hole, nothings gotten better everything’s gotten worse. At some point you need to put on your own oxygen mask, protect your $ from him and realize whether it’s poor decisions on his part OR bad karma either way his problems can’t be solved with your $ and you giving endlessly of yourself. Whatever is going on with him can’t be your problem or he’ll drag you down too. I think financial hardship has a time limit and when I’ve noticed the pattern of it not getting better even with my financial support and unlimited childcare…time to go.
