But the following day, investigators discovered the little boy's remains on the family's property. Prosecutors revealed that Griner had beaten her son, reportedly because he refused to eat or listen to her, before attempting to cover up the crime. In January 2023, she was convicted of first-degree murder and several other charges. The mother who had begged police to find her missing child was ultimately found guilty of k**ling him herself.
