I was unwanted, abused, abandoned and ill treated. Had a lot of therapy but still have trouble healing and triggers make me feel very bad sometimes.

The one thing I really grieve (not regret, it had been a really difficult but conscious choise) is never becoming a mom, because of my mental problems 🫶

And also grieve the person You Could Have Been if you had confidence and belief in self and possibly. Had we gotten that validation and love - had we not been left alone, maybe we’d not need to grieve Time lost to Fear.

💯me ! Neglect from both, dads past that was easy. Moms still alive no contact 40 years- I know the day is coming …. Don’t know how to grieve her alive. Just came to terms she’ll never be the mother I deserved.

I have had to cut my mother off my life. It is really painful and I feel guilty and scared because she is almost 80 years old. But I feel I have to mourn the fact I never had a mother for me to be someday able to mourn for her passing. It is very confusing and hard.

I grieved my dad years before he died. I was only sad at his funeral because he was the first major loss for my nephew, and watching him experience that was heart wrenching. If I’m being completely honest, I was relieved when he died.

💯. emotionally, it is extremely confusing. there is trauma mixed with grief and some form of love. I experienced emotional neglect after a serious medical diagnosis. but, creating distance has helped. I don't think you can heal and manage the neglect.

This past year has really opened my eyes to the fact that my biomom never wanted me and resents my existence.

The grief never goes away. I just had to learn how to make space for it. Still learning.
