I was taking care of my grandma like i was responsible for her medicine and everything i was waking up at night for her to get her shots and i couldn’t go out with my friends because of that. She was sleeping with me and i was counting her breaths most nights. I started resenting her because of that i was so tired and exhausted. And i feel so bad for it now because i know she was feeling it too . I didn’t learn anything except I don’t ever want to take care of anyone ever again.

My grandma lived with us for five years nd as her Alzheimer’s progressed i helped her with everything ,changing her diapers, helping her walk, feeding her, and caring for her in every way I could. She taught me that sometimes caring for someone means becoming their strength when they no longer have their own. She played a huge role in my decision to study physical therapy. I may not have been able to give her back everything she lost, but she gave me a purpose that I’ll carry with me for the rest of my life

She was so mean to her own son (my dad) and my mom and somehow ended up staying with us till she died . She never appreciated anything we did for her. It was so confusing how much she loved her daughter who resented her and her other son who was clearly using her for money. But never once appreciated anything my dad who craved a relationship with her. I don’t know what to do with all the anger I have because of her
