I think that most people’s “issue” with this scene is that it’s been almost 10 years of Sam being Captain America but it still seems that, in each appearance he makes, there has to be a scene where he “proves himself” to be cap or where someone else has to reinforce the statement of being cap. Ofc Scott was a big Steve/Cap fan and it’s a cute interaction for the two of them but the (arguably very meta) discourse of “Sam Wilson will never be Captain America” can seem very tiresome since it’s been ongoing for years
