I think that you're in the wrong island 😅 the clap happens in Madeira usually because the pista is short and the landing has to be precise. ☺️next time Madeira 😜

You’ve got to go to Jardim Natural Food, located within Jardim Botânico António. It’s very popular, but worth it. Plus, the gardens are the best? Have fun

Growing up, they would clap any time a flight would land on mainland Portugal too. I went back a few weeks ago for the first time in a while and NO CLAPS 🤯 😢

I think it started from immigrants coming back home. which would explain why there's no clapping from Portugal to Sao Miguel and vice versa.
