hey if you loved the game and still think you’d love it even if you’ve got material to catch up on i think it’s totally worth it!! i swear i have a life but i started genshin last december towards the end and am fully caught up on AQs and have decent exploration, and i don’t play daily. now stygian and abyss will probably be a lil difficult but i believe in you!!

There is a LOT to catch up on but ive been very consistent with the game and with all the new characters and story its been very interesting, and if ur on the NA servers i can help if u need any overall if u have free time it would probably be fun for u to start back up especially with all the new rewards and stuff

I also joined back in 2021 and the only reason why I’m staying is because I genuinely enjoy collecting my fav characters and checking new updates. But yes there’s a lot to catch up on. New meta and reactions for sure. They changed a lot of things like the fatui. Also we’re getting info on the heavenly principles now. (Ruler of death and the god who took our sibling). But I think if you genuinely wanna get back into the game why not! It’s still my comfort game even if it disappoints sometimes.

There is so much content now but it’s worth it because it’s so much fun now. I picked up from natlan after 1.5 year break (missed all of nod krai) but I binged all the content and it was greatttt

Catching up on the archon quests will be a timesink. 100%ing everything you missed will be a MASSIVE timesink. That being said, as a single mom I still find the time to play for hours (but I don't sleep much). If you're interested and you're willing to invest the time, please come back! The game is so fun and rewarding now, it's the only one I always make my way back to.

Seems like ur really far behind! The game is relatively the same since, but dendro in 3.0, lunar & stellar reactions in 6.0, & 7.0.. Basically the game has changed a whole lot and it's different. You're basically missing 5 nations now! We have Snezhnaya now after 6 years of the games life span. You'll have sumeru, fontaine, natlan, nod krai, & snezhnaya to go through Archon Quests & side quests; etc! You got this though :)

you should give it a try! worst case scenario give up on catching up for now in game and watch playthroughs of the archom quests and then the game will let you skip to snezhnaya
