I saw my mom with a bloody nose and blood all over the bed for a mistake. I was 6. I begged my mom to leave my dad and he would laugh at me saying she would never. Before I turned 18 I gave her an ultimatum leave him and we find an apartment together or I move out and cut her out of my life. I’m 20 now and me and my mom live in a house my older brother came back into our lives and now we all live together and are making sure my baby brother who is now 8 has a completely new and healthier life. I love my mom so much and I’m so proud of her being able to get out after 20 years of being with my dad.

On October 10th, 2024 at 11:30 pm my big sister driver 2 1/2 hours one way with her husband and my 1 yr old nephew to save us 🥺🤍 I owe her my life and her nieces, I wouldnt have ever made it out without her help 🥺

as a 30 y/o woman, I can say I wish my mom would've left. we could've applied for so much assistance and would have been financially fine, and mentally & emotionally so much better off. easier said than done, no shame, just perspective sharing with love ❤️
