@gildedandgathered: August 2020 was one of the hardest seasons of our life, and this marsh gave me one of its sweetest evenings. We had a brand new baby, a little boy fighting pneumonia, and an ER nurse husband coming home exposed every shift, so a friend gathered her people at Rose Hill for an acoustic guitar, little kids everywhere, and worship over the Colleton River marsh. For a few hours I felt whole again, and my best friend's sweet mama was on that porch with us; she went Home to Glory the next year. The sun rises and sets, our babies are tweens now, and the God we worshiped on that porch is just as faithful today. What season are you in right now, friend? I'd love to hear it. 10 DAYS OF SLOW COOKER RECIPES RECIPE 5/10 SLOW COOKER - MEXICAN CHEESY BEEF & RICE Ingredients: 500g Beef mince 30g Old El Taco or Mexican seasoning 1 brown onion, diced 1 red capsicum, diced 3 garlic cloves, finely chopped 400g tinned tomatoes 175g @simplywholesomepantry Mexican meal base ½ teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon pepper 300g uncooked jasmine rice 600ml beef stock 400g tinned corn 400g black beans 2 cups grated cheese Serve with fresh green salad Method: 1. To the slow cooker: add beef mince, onion, red capsicum, garlic, tinned tomatoes, Old El Paso Taco seasoning, Simply Wholesome pantry Mexican Recipe Base, salt, and pepper. Give it all a good mix. 2. Cook on high for 4 hours. 3. Then to the slow cooker: add jasmine rice, beef stock, tinned black beans and corn. Stir to combine. 4. Cook on high for 1 hour. 5.
