@the_30_rule: The number one thing we see, over and over, is severely underdeveloped leadership. Not lazy staff. Not Gen Z. Not the market. Here is the test, and it is uncomfortable. I can come into your building and train your floor for thirty days straight. Servers, bartenders, bussers, all of them. I can turn that group into absolute weapons. Then I leave. What happens on day thirty one? If your managers cannot support what I taught, what was the point. If they cannot hold the standard I set, what was the point. If I flipped every mindset in that room and your leadership team cannot carry it, what exactly was the point. It does not matter. It decays inside a month and you blame the training. This is why the information was never the issue. You have the information. Everybody has the information. Restaurant training systems only stick at the level your weakest manager can hold them. Hospitality training poured into a team with no leadership underneath it is a very expensive way to feel productive for four weeks. Restaurant leadership is the ceiling, and everything else in the building lives under it. Restaurant culture never rises above the least developed person with authority. Your accountability gap is a leadership development gap, and it has been for years. So before the next training investment, ask who is holding it after. Most restaurant owners have never actually answered that. #hospitalitytraining #restaurantleadership #restaurantsystems #restaurantowner
