@homegrownpodcast: This week’s episode is all about alliums - and as well as the one's you can grow at home, there are lots of lovely wild alliums to forage too. Three-cornered leek: oniony, delicious, and easy to spot, tear a leaf and look for the triangular stem. It’s wildly invasive, so foraging it is doing the ecosystem a favour, and it’s really versatile in the kitchen. Just don’t be tempted to plant it yourself, it spreads very easily and is illegal to introduce in to the wild. As with all foraging, make sure you are 100% sure before consuming anything. NEW EPISODE OUT NOW 🌱 You can get Home Grown wherever you listen to your podcasts or follow the link in our bio to listen or watch on YouTube. #HomeGrownPodcast #GardeningPodcast #Foraging #Alliums #Autumn

I made pesto out of this and it was absolutely delicious. It was a good use of this weed that pops up everywhere in my garden.

our garden is absolutely full of three cornered leaks no matter how much we pull them up and try to get rid of them because they have taken over the bluebells and just the whole front garden but I will definitely try and cook with them
