@whos_yuuya: Choso is one of the most meticulously written, emotionally resonant, and powerful tragic figures in Gege Akutami's dark fantasy masterpiece Jujutsu Kaisen. He initially enters the narrative as a major antagonist during the devastating Shibuya Incident but undergoes a profound psychological evolution to become an invaluable ally and the ultimate personification of selfless brotherly love. Brought into existence over 150 years ago during the Meiji Era, Choso is the eldest and undisputed strongest of the nine Cursed Womb: Death Paintings, a specialized line of half-human, half-curse hybrid entities born from the cruel, highly unethical biological and jujutsu experiments conducted by the ancient, body-hopping sorcerer Kenjaku while he was possessing the historical figure Noritoshi Kamo. For a grueling century and a half, Choso and his brothers existed merely as aborted, sentient fetuses sealed away in the deepest chambers of Jujutsu High’s Tomb of the Star. This agonizing period of shared, isolated darkness deeply forged Choso's entire identity, instilling in him a fierce, absolute sense of paternal and fraternal responsibility to protect his younger siblings above all else, since they had nobody but each other in a hostile world. Upon being stolen and subsequently unsealed by the cursed spirit Mahito, Choso is reincarnated into a human host and strategically aligns himself with Suguru Geto’s faction of disaster curses (including Jogo and Hanami) out of a pragmatic desire to secure a peaceful world where his fully reincarnated brothers, Eso and Kechizu, can live freely. This alignment turns deeply personal and vengeful when the series protagonist, Yuji Itadori, along with Nobara Kugisaki, is forced to execute Eso and Kechizu in self-defense, prompting a grief-stricken Choso to hunt down Yuji in the subterranean hallways of Shibuya. After a brutal, high-stakes battle where Choso utilizes his superior tactical intellect to soundly defeat Yuji, he prepares to land a fatal blow, only to be struck by a sudden, jarring psychic phenomenon—a vivid "false memory" or mental resonance triggered by their hidden, shared parental lineage through Kenjaku. Realizing that his unique curse-human biology grants him the innate ability to sense the status and deaths of his blood relatives, Choso experiences a staggering existential breakthrough: Yuji Itadori is not his enemy, but rather his youngest surviving half-brother. This shocking revelation completely shatters Choso’s reality and reverses his moral compass. He completely abandons the cursed spirits, proclaims himself Yuji's fiercely loyal, self-appointed older brother ("oni-chan"), and steps into a redemptive arc defined by relentless guardianship. As a combatant, Choso is an absolute master of the Kamo clan's inherited Blood Manipulation technique. Unlike human sorcerers who risk fatal blood loss when pushing this technique to its limits, Choso’s hybrid physiology allows him to endlessly convert his immense stores of cursed energy directly into blood, granting him a practically infinite ammunition supply. He refines this art into a terrifyingly versatile arsenal, compressing blood into high-pressure lasers capable of piercing concrete via Piercing Blood, generating highly destructive explosive fragments using Supernova, and supercharging his own metabolic and physical capabilities to match special-grade threats through Flowing Red Scale: Stack. Despite his fearsome abilities, Choso's true strength lies in his profound capacity for empathy and personal growth. Guided by the special-grade sorcerer Yuki Tsukumo, who gently encourages him to stop defining his worth by his past sins as a curse and to live proudly as a human being, Choso learns to forgive himself for his prior violence and transitions into a vital frontline defender during the chaotic Culling Games. escape the blast radius in time. #relatablecontent #relatable #realest #realshit #choso
