I can't believe how uneducated people are. The police and royal family handlers informed Meghan of the allegations and people are saying "she should have reported it to the police!". Why would she report the allegations to the institution she got the information from in the first place?!

When I cut off my parents, I cried every day for like 3 months. It was like they’d died. It was the hardest thing I’ve ever done and it was after years upon years of trying to compromise with them.

My cousin completely cut off her dad when she turned 18 and then cut off our entirely family. I have absolutely no idea why but I also respect that it’s not a decision she would have taken lightly and that it’s none of my business. I miss her but I respect the boundaries she’s set, even if I don’t understand them.

I was estranged from my dad starting in highschool up until he died. I was shamed at his funeral by the reverend giving his eulogy for not being there and alienating him in a room full of people who knew him and didn't not know me. I'm not going to get into it but, I had very valid reasons for cutting him out of my life and the reverend knew that. There was a whole grief process I went through before he died so I do feel for Meghan and I do understand on a much smaller scale what it's like to have people wilfully misunderstand your intentions and project made up stories about you onto you as though it's fact.
