@vt: Tom Hardy revealed he is on the autism spectrum in the most casual way possible, mid-answer during a panel at New York Comic Con. Speaking at a Sony panel for Venom: The Last Dance in October 2024, the actor was explaining how much thought goes into playing both Eddie Brock and Venom when he paused to make a point. “I could get really geeky about this process and talk to you about it, but I just sound like I’m on the spectrum,” he said. “Because I am. That’s for you.” The offhand comment was met with a huge response from fans, with many praising him for speaking about it so openly and without any fuss. Hardy has since gone on to support autism awareness, teaming up with Brazilian jiu-jitsu brand Tatami Fightwear on a collection called The AUTSiders, with proceeds going to autism charities. He even asked his followers to recommend organisations for the money to support. The actor, known for roles in Peaky Blinders, Mad Max: Fury Road, The Dark Knight Rises and MobLand, was appointed a CBE in 2018 for services to drama. #vt
