No, do not go to work. Get a sub. Your kids will be fine. Take care of you. I worked with a woman who once came to school after being hit by a car while walking in her neighborhood before work. The principal praised her for being so conscientious. I thought she was insane. You shouldn't even whisper with laryngitis. Rest, hot soups, teas and no talking. No Tiktoks.

I called in sick, staff was mad because we had no subs. that's a them problem not a me problem. I was soooo sick, like throwing up violently, it was awful!

I always went in and set up my room and left a scripted plan for the day. I taught students with moderate to severe disabilities and my paras did not earn enough to take over my job.

I understand having subs are hard the kids have melt downs and parents don't like it sometimes you never know if your getting a good sub or bad one. Luckily we have subs we call when we need to be out and they are good because they are retired teachers I love them subs all subs should have a teaching background before they sub

I went in☹️only because I felt guilty. When I’m sick, I feel bad for missing. I just whispered and luckily the kids were respectful. They even whispered too🤣
