@mohrstrong: I wish I could tell you I decided to lose the weight and never looked back. That’s not what happened. 2020. 2021. 2022. 2023. 2024. 2025. I tried. Lost some. Gained some back. Started over. Got frustrated. Tried again. Then something finally clicked. Those years weren’t wasted. They were part of figuring out what actually worked for me. A big part of my story is using a GLP-1. I’m no stranger to working out or even losing weight for that matter but food was always in my way, or should I say not knowing how to listen to my body was my biggest issue. Some say GLP-1 is a “cheat” and I say I tried for years, decades, to do it by myself. I can put the work in and I can count calories until I’m blue in the face but there was a disconnect between my mouth and my stomach that was there for 25+ years. GLP-1 was a tool that helped me get there but in order to make sure I preserved as much muscle as possible I had to TRAIN with intensity and make sure I was eating enough protein every day. So did I cheat? Sure. I cheated an early death. I cheated not feeling like crap anymore. I cheated so I can spend more years with my children.
