100% my mom always stood up to these ppl but any chance they got they would remind me how beautiful I am but that my skin complexion being dark was a “protection from Allah” so that I don’t get evil eye LMAO 🤦🏽♀️

I feel your pain. I have 4 and each one is different. ASomeone even asked my sister in law if all the kids were my husbands.

Omg this is so true. Because me and my siblings grew up getting these comments, for reference I am Indian, and people always make comments on skin tone and body size, even to kids. When we were teenagers we always had this little sourness towards each other because of those comments made by people. Because my second oldest sister and I would always get compared for our skin tones and body size. But alhumdolilah as we got older we released that those comments were never right and we are beautiful they way we are. And now we stop people from making comments on our nieces and nephew.
