@diana_talks_realestate: A seller accepted an offer 15% below asking without a counteroffer. 👀 Will that happen on every house? Of course not. But buyers have more room to negotiate in many markets right now. Redfin estimated 58% more sellers than buyers nationwide in August. I’m also hearing from owners who bought expecting to refinance later, and now they’re calling because keeping the property long term isn’t working for them. That’s what I’m seeing firsthand, not a claim about every seller. If you’re buying, check recent sales, look at how long the home has been listed, and make an offer that works for your budget. You can ask for closing cost help or a rate buydown, too. What’s the lowest offer you’d feel comfortable making? 👇 #HomeBuyingTips #FirstTimeHomeBuyer #RealEstateTips #BuyersMarket #HouseHunting

I just got a 40% of asking price, but I’m planning to demo the home to use the land to build multifamily

Submit a lowball offer like that to my my counter is 50% more than asking price. That is the worst advice you can give a client.

It’s not really a lowball offer. It reflects 2026 market. Nobody is paying overpriced and over appraised value. It’s just a fair market value.
