@crmnallyobsessed: Raymond Wright Jr. is on trial for the murder of his ex-girlfriend, 14-year-old Samantha Humphrey. Humphrey went missing in November 2022 in Schenectady, NY. Police later found her belongings near the Mohawk River. After months of searching the river, investigators recovered Humphrey's remains in February 2023. Two years later in May 2025, police arrested Humphrey's ex-boyfriend, Raymond Wright Jr., and charged him with second-degree murder. He was a minor at the time of Humphrey's death but is being tried as an adult. Prosecutors say Humphrey thought she was pregnant and wanted to keep the baby. They say that during an argument, Wright Jr. strangled Humphrey and disposed of her body in the river. An autopsy later confirmed that Humphrey wasn't actually pregnant. Prosecutors say Wright was seen on camera walking to the river with socks, but walking home without socks. They say DNA testing found a mixture of Humphrey’s and Wright’s DNA on the socks. However the defense argues that a third DNA profile, DeRal Williams, was also found on Wright's clothing. The defense also mentioned that Humphrey was struggling with her mental health at the time of her death. The trial is expected to last approximately three weeks. #courtroom #murdertrial

Met him in juvie kid was sketch but he wasn’t a bad kid I’m not saying he was right to any capacity but the kid gave me food he sat with me cuz I was nervous he never gave me I could really take a life vibes. He made friends in there he was in the “good” pod he got to call his parents every night himself he got to use a PlayStation beacuse he cleaned the pod and bathrooms idk maybe he did it but genuinely I think there is more to it then we’re getting maybe his friend lost it and did it and he didn’t necessarily not want it and dosent wanna give up his friend.

There was a billboard in my city that I would drive by every day to work and it was her picture with the caption “have you seen me” or something like that and yeah everybody was talking about it for a while. I worked with some younger kids who went to school with him.

I pray to God that they look into either her stepdad or her father, whatever one that they said that was down in that area at the same time, and I don’t know, maybe the DNA evidence is gonna prove that he’s not the father, whatever her dad is, what if her dad raped her or her stepdad? As someone from the area born and raised this definitely shocked our community and there are so many things that do not add up. This may hit hard for some people but I saw this poor girls face on a billboard everyday. This town is terrible. Literally stay out of Schenectady NY.
