@earthsignalofficial: October 24, 2026 | Western Alaska, Bering Sea A powerful Bering Sea storm has hit Western Alaska, and a second low is on the way. Gusts reached 75 mph at Cold Bay, 72 mph at Cape Newenham and 71 mph at Wales on Friday, with 60 mph or more at several other coastal communities. Coastal water levels were forecast 2 to 10 feet above normal high tide, and some locations flooded at high tide while others saw water recede. Winds ease briefly Saturday before the secondary low builds Sunday, and a coastal flood warning for the Yukon Delta coast runs through late Sunday. Blizzard conditions remain possible along and north of the Seward Peninsula, with winds up to 65 mph and whiteout conditions. Forecasters say water levels may not return to normal for a few days. #Alaska #BeringSea #CoastalFlooding #Blizzard #EarthSignal
