Just to put some clarity to that, 30lbs is about 30,000 grasshoppers. 100 per square foot would be near biblical plague level.

In bad years I have seen it nearly as bad as this. I can’t remember the name of the spray we have used, but it locks the jaws up. You can strip spray and have great success with it.
