21 Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times?
22 Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven.
JESUS understands grief, and helps push past it. He takes that burden so you don’t have to. To show love where hate and pain reside.

sometimes the damage is so severe, you can't recover from the hurt it caused. each person needs to heal in their own way and in their own time.

Sometimes it is healthier to leave. If living with the pain everyday, hurting everyday is not ok. Sometimes we love so deep and when that trust is broken we never forget. We may forgive but when the doesn’t subside we must leave for our own good.

Forgiveness is not freedom from consequences. There a reaction for every action. Forgiveness is choosing to process the reaction to the action with someone, rather than without.

Why is it always easier for the person that hurt the other person to move on. The reason she kept bringing it up or it kept affecting her was either you didn’t change or make her feel safe or you thought a sorry was good enough. Sorry does not wipe the slate clean. My ex cheated & messaged other women. When I first found out I literally felt my heart be ripped out of my chest. He didn’t want to talk about it or take accountability just went to sleep & kept acting like it didn’t happen. 2yrs it ate me from the inside out. Everytime his phone made a noise the question “Who is it now!”. Till this day he has never taken accountability & played the victim. It doesn’t just go away & as hard as it was I respect myself & needed to separate from him.

Look I get it he did something wrong but as a women I would get so annoyed if someone kept bringing up something I am so guilty of doing like it’s ok your mad at me but if it’s been three years of being reminded of the same mistake that relationship isn’t moving forward and never will she is stuck in that one moment that is a healthy relationship go either of them

Women minds are very different than men we replay the same scenario and feel every emotion that moment brought. It doesn’t mean we haven’t forgiven or been forgiven it just means it can still hurt and feel just as painful 20 years later as it did in that moment. And it’s not just when we’ve been hurt, we also go through it when we’ve hurt our love one as well. Repeating the trauma we caused over and over, feeling as though a lifetime of love and apologies will never be enough. It’s not as though we want to be reminded and feel emotional, it just comes in waves. Uninvited, unexpected and definitely unwelcome… but it comes and we deal with it. However we often stop voicing it out loud.

it’s not just wives that go through this, we husbands also go through these same emotional betrayals and pains. the difference is that we as men are expected to be strong and show no emotions. to all of the wives, girlfriends and partners here, that have had to endure this… it’s not always just you that feels the pain but how you deal with it is the difference between men and women. i understand it doesn’t make anything better, but i surely hope and pray for your healing ❤️🩹 everyone’s timeline is not the same. just be patient with yourself and remember that it wasn’t you that was the problem if you did everything right, it was a matter of weakness, pressure, confidence and opportunity from the offending party. i truly believe one day that your healing will come ❤️

I totally understand how the wife feels. I go through it every day. It is hard to put in to words how I feel so I don’t write them . I just carry it with me like a shield so I don’t get hurt by the pain and the feelings.

If this a true story, your wife will never ever feel the same love she used to feel. Whatever you did probably crushed her dignity and self worth, can sorry fix that, no. My partner and I had a similar experience, I told him after 2 years of trying to forget, I won't leave, but know I don't love you like I used to. Why should we have to forgive, we're not your loving saint.

Once betrayed is like a mended glassware or mirror the scars will always remain there. Forgiven but not forgotten.... So treasure each other.... wife or husband don't go astray.

People who say it’s okay not to forgive and to leave sounds like they are able to live their easy. Those of us who do not, understands that effort and resilience is what it takes to just be there.

It doesn’t end at I’m sorry. That person will carry that heartbreak for a lifetime. Even if we forgive and eventually heal, one little thing can trigger that pain all over again. I can whole heartedly say that I have never and will never inflict that kind of pain on my husband. Some people are so weak they don’t care who they destroy with one little mess up. Well guess what, that little mess up can destroy lives. I have zero tolerance for what I’m assuming is cheating. I know God says to forgive but it doesn’t mean I will stay. Betray me one time and I am out.
