in a direct argument with someone yesterday they used the architecture of a fictional movie to say that the main character couldn't be a person of color. I am not a person of color, so its not my place to call them racist, but when their exact argument is "Rapunzel can't be a person of color because the architecture in the kingdom looks slightly like old German architecture, which means that all people of color in Germany would be s14v3s, and Rapunzel would have to be white because theres no way a person of color could be a princess". as if its not a fictional world where the only thing that matters is if shes magic, if her hair glows, if she's locked in a tower for 16 years, and if she runs away from that tower and gets reunited with her parents.
