As a 52 year-old, I say this all the time that I could not have afford the things when I was in my 20s that 20s something are doing now and I’ve been a nurse since I was 20 years old. I can’t imagine being a 20 or 30 something in the influence culture era.

Seriously thank you for this! I love home decor and like to post home decor content but I just don’t know if I can even get on tik tok anymore because it makes me feel like I’m behind and don’t have as much as the next person even though I’ve owned a home since I was 23 which is a blessing in itself!

Agree with all of this!! I feel like the influencers who are just flaunting their lavish lifestyle are so bad to be consuming because it’s super unrealistic and also just promotes an insane amount of overconsumption
