@nickleyden: It really is this simple. For years, athletes have been sold random “athletic” exercises without ever being taught what qualities they’re actually trying to build. And that’s where training starts getting messy. More drills. More exercises. More shit that looks athletic. But no real system behind it. The athletes I’ve seen make the biggest jumps aren’t doing more random work. They’re developing the right qualities and actually progressing them. Build the brakes. Learn to absorb force, decelerate, and control your body. Build the springs. Develop reactive strength, stiffness, and elasticity so you can get off the ground faster. Build the engine. Get stronger so you have more force available to use. Build the gas tank. Improve your conditioning so you can keep producing when fatigue starts to hit. Then add horsepower. Take all that strength and teach yourself to express it fast. That’s the system. Not random exercises. Not chasing whatever looks cool this week. Develop the qualities. Progress them. Then teach them to work together. That’s what I break down here every week: strength, power, speed, explosiveness, conditioning, and how to actually organize it into training that makes sense. If you want the full programming already laid out for you, join the Peak Performance Program through the link in my bio. If you’re a serious athlete who wants everything built specifically around your sport, goals, weaknesses, and schedule, apply for 1 on 1 coaching and I’ll build your training roadmap with you. Train Hard. Dominate Harder.
