what I have learned is to be intentionally you, meaning do what makes you happy not what will please others. if something genuinely makes you feel uncomfortable give a list of reasons why and decipher there if it's just general insecurity or if something is actually wrong and adjust from there. Confidence is KEY, be the most confident version of yourself and good will follow. You don't need to wear makeup to feel/be pretty. You attract what you put out, use that as a good/bad rule of thumb.

Antibiotics cancel your birth control. If you take an antibiotic, your birth control will not be effective until at least 2 weeks after your last dose…. I’d roll with 4 weeks just incase.

Make an effort to care for your feet. Do a few foot masks every month, keep the nails painted, etc. it makes a huge difference in how you walk.

Learned this myself (no mom) but- try new makeup ideas before the shower. If it looks like shit, no problem. If its amazing, you just learned something and can try to replicate it tomorrow🥰

don't brush your hair while it's wet after the shower. you'll cause breakage. brush your hair before showers to cut down on how much hair will fall out and go down the drain. For shampoo, only scrub your scalp and roots. For conditioner only use it on the mid point and down. ♡

Shorts under dresses, always! Lets you do as you please without worrying about it flying up or your thighs rubbing together. Vaseline on hands and feet at night, put on gloves and fuzzy socks and they’ll be so soft in the morning! Put your hair in a protective style at night, whether it’s braids or just in a bun with silk scrunchie. Find a cute crafty hobby that you enjoy, it makes you feel good to accomplish something. I’m also learning homemaking as I’ve never been able to keep a house clean and cook, and man do those women know how to make a home inviting. Like to me, they add a ✨girly✨ touch to things that just never even crosses my mind, and it’s always so cute! My mom is a business woman, so we learned girly things like make up and hair, but not how to manage a household like that. So don’t feel too bad, we’re all learning something together!🥰

Double shampooing- it’ll change your life. Sometimes you might even need a third if it’s been a few days. Essentially, when you are shampooing your hair in the shower, if it’s not making a lot of foam/bubbles when you’re lathering it on your scalp, then you need to rinse and shampoo again. You’ll notice that it foams up much more the second time. This is really getting through that oil layer and actually cleaning. Also - only shampoo the scalp, you’ll clean the rest of the hair when it rinses down. Alternatively, don’t condition your scalp! Only use conditioner on your ends (or mid to ends if you have longer hair). After the shower, while your hair is still damp, get some hair oil and rub it into your hands and run it through your hair. This will restore some of the good oil that the shampooing took out, but won’t make your hair look greasy. It will definitely help with shine and frizz 😊

Don't make any major life decisions if you're PMSing. Don't cut your bangs, quit your job, break up or anything because you may look back and wonder wtf you were thinking! Also, I was in my late 20's before a friend told me I could tuck the tampon string "in the folds" so I didn't have to change it every time I had to pee. I was raised without a lot of girl training too!
