Him killing John Borrelli it wasn't fully because of love for Caitlyn it was because he wanted to take Johns life as he admired the life that john had with Caitlyn and how matt felt when Caitlyn was there to help his old life when she helped to controll his powers his life as matt hagan was gone/lost and most likely the crimes that he committed would have sent him to prison with all the proof that they had
