With the persimmon you absolutely must let it ripen to the point where you think it’s bad (it’s orange but you know it’s ready when there will be black parts on the skin) .. it’s only then that’s it is sweet. If you eat it before then it is bitter and leaves an awful taste in your mouth

Persimmons taste Mildly sweet with clean, subtle honey and cinnamon undertones. You can slice and eat them like an apple while they are still hard, or let them soften for a sweeter, denser bite xx
