@flockyouusa: Chicago police just opened an internal probe into their own officers' plate searches. The Bureau of Internal Affairs is auditing every outside plate-reader search after two suburban Chicago officers were indicted on 21 counts and a Waukegan officer was hit with 5 felony counts this month. Officers pulled plates from systems Chicago doesn't even own - 500-plus agencies feed that network. The fix is open for public comment until Nov 12. Sources: WTTW News Oct 23; Chicago Police Department policy portal; DuPage County State's Attorney Oct 5; ABC7 Chicago Oct 20. Like this if your city should audit its cameras too, follow for every policy fight, and share it before your city signs the same contract.
