@stupidlittlegenius: Think dry cleaning magically cleans your clothes with he power of dryness? Think again! Dry clean it actually as wet as regular clean. Only difference is, it’s not water! It’s a chemical solvent! But telling people that their precious wool and silk clothes were going to be sloshing round in paint thinner probably wouldn’t have been popular, so they named it ‘dry cleaning’. Why? Simply because they didn’t use water! #creatorsearchinsights #drycleaning #learnontiktok #funfacts #sciencefacts
Am I the only one who thought dry cleaners used steam?

The same active ingredient used in dry cleaning is also in brake cleaner. So if you get a stain on a carpet then good old fashioned brake cleaner can bring it out. (Check for colour fastness first!)

interesting, I never knew a big industrial washing machine was involved, I thought the garments were just held up on a hanger and sprayed with chemicals. What scares me is the use of the word "petroleum"
Stay away from flames after you've had your clothes dry cleaned 🥺

To be honest, I thought it was called "dry cleaning" because it came back dried and clean.

Next question, is water wet? Are you wet if you’re fully submerged underwater? Is an ice cube wet?

I mean, If someone pours oil over me coat, I won't say it's wet, I'll say it's greasy
