I think we should be careful about judging people for this. I used to be exclusively interested in WW2, but it soon led to my interest in a bunch of other historical periods, like the Cold War, WWI, Age of Imperialism, the Industrial Revolution, etc. For some reason, WW2 is a great gateway for so many other historical rabbit holes.

I mean it’s by far the most important event in recent history and it has a ton of footage to along with it. Every conflict since doesn’t have the scale of WW2 and the major conflicts before don’t have the footage to go along with it
