cracker barrels best meals are the country fried steak with Mac and cheese and their green beans, or the slow roasted pot roast with mashed potatoes and green beans. my favorite appetizer is their loaded tots. THOSE ARE PHENOMENAL!

so just a warning if you go someplace else and order chicken and dumplings. What they serve is typically called chicken & pastry (thin strips of pastry) and chicken & dumplings are more like a "ball" of dough (its a chunk of dough dropped in)
