WATCH: We obtained security camera footage with support from co-counsel Hans Meyer showing ICE unlawfully arresting an Amazon delivery worker at a Broomfield apartment complex.   The man, I.G.H., was delivering packages on September 21 when ICE agents rammed his vehicle, arrested him, and drove him to the Aurora GEO Detention Facility. Federal agents, however, were targeting another person and only later realized they had the wrong person. Despite this, ICE still jailed him at the Aurora GEO Detention Facility and placed him in removal proceedings. I.G.H. has since left the country because of the terrible conditions at the detention facility.   This is an example of a warrantless arrest, where ICE agents arrest and detain someone without determining their flight risk. Court documents describe these actions as “fishing expeditions,” where ICE agents make unlawful arrests to fulfill arbitrary Trump administration quotas. In this instance, ICE agents arrested someone they did not have a warrant for but still went on to detain him at the GEO detention facility.   We sued the Trump administration in October 2025 to end these unlawful actions. A federal court ordered agents to stop making warrantless arrests until agents had been specifically trained on how to do so. The court also ordered ICE to provide us with extensive documents about these arrests.   The documents we received from ICE revealed that agents continue to make these unlawful arrests. We returned to court, and the court ruled that ICE was violating the law and prior court orders. Despite this, ICE continues to violate court orders and the law.   We’ll continue to fight to rein in ICE’s lawlessness.
