The Kola Superdeep Borehole (SG-3) in Russia remains the deepest well by true vertical depth, at 12,262 meters (about 40,230 feet or 7.6 miles). It was a Soviet scientific project on the Kola Peninsula (near the Norwegian border) that began in 1970. The goal was to drill as deep as possible into the Earth’s crust for research, not oil or gas. Multiple branches were drilled from a central shaft (the hole itself is only about 23 cm / 9 inches wide). It surpassed previous records in 1979 and reached its maximum depth in 1989. Drilling effectively ended around 1992 due to extreme temperatures (roughly 180–212°C / 356–414°F at the bottom, far higher than predicted), which made the rock behave plastically and repeatedly seal the hole, plus technical difficulties and the collapse of the Soviet Union cutting funding. The site was later sealed.

If the earth is flat why can I go from Florida to Germany by heading north or south or east or west? Really odd.

This is why I thank my Science teacher he would always ask me what a hypothesis was which is an educated guess. Asked me it EVERYDAY literally and he followed it up with everything in science is based of the previous scientist, hypothesis. What’s a hypothesis? I would respond, an educated guess. He would then say EXACTLY so they are what? JUST GUESSING.

Does it change your life if the Earth is flat or round? I still have to go to work. I still have to pay bills. So what does it benefit me to know exactly I don't care

do you know why they couldn't dig any further because it was so hot that it was melting the drill bits now on a flat Earth model how would you suggest that produces heat and how was that heat created is it just some giant heater that runs on a battery

The reason why the stopped at 7.8 is cause if they made it to 8 mile they’d lose themselves in the music the moment they pass it.( true fact)

The layers model is a theory taught as a fact. They barely prices the crust yet they know the center is iron 😂

they didn't reach an impenetrable layer lol what happened was that deep got so hot the rock acted like clay instead of hard rock and the walls would collapse/melt back together everytime they went to replace the drill bit. PLUS the soviet union fell and the project lost funding
