@anyi.manchester.u: đš Jordan Henderson on his conversation with Chris Kavanagh after Cole Palmerâs controversial red card decision: đïž Interviewer: âJordan, you were right there when Cole Palmer received his second yellow card against Conor Gallagher. You were also seen speaking to Chris Kavanagh afterwards. What did you say to the referee? Jordan Henderson: âI told him I understood that Cole had already been booked, but that doesnât mean every subsequent foul automatically deserves a second yellow card. You still have to judge the incident on its own meritsâ âListen, Cole made a mistake with that first yellow. He knows that. But when the second incident happened, I looked at it and thought, âIs that really enough to send a player off?â âHe didnât stamp on Conor Gallagher. He didnât kick him in a way that suggested he was trying to hurt him. It was a foul, yes, but thereâs a massive difference between committing a foul and committing an offence that deserves to end your afternoonâ âA second yellow card is a huge decision. It changes the game, affects your teammates and leaves you playing with ten men. For me, that incident simply wasnât worth sending him off.â âI spoke to Chris because I wanted him to understand what we were seeing on the pitch. I wasnât asking him to give Cole special treatment because heâs my teammate. Iâm asking for consistency. If thatâs a second yellow, then I want to know where the line is, because weâve all seen similar challenges go unpunishedâ âAnd thatâs the frustrating part. Cole has to take responsibility for getting himself into that position with the first booking. But the referee also has a responsibility to make sure the second decision is rightâ âYou canât tell players to respect the officials and then expect them not to question a decision that could change an entire match. Sometimes, referees need to understand the consequences of what theyâre doing.â Interviewer: âSo, in your opinion, Chris Kavanagh got it wrong? Henderson: âI think it was harsh, absolutely. Cole should have been more careful after his first yellow, but that doesnât mean he deserved to be sent off for every foul he committed afterwardsâ âPeople will say the referee followed the rules. Fine. But football isnât just about looking at a playerâs name and counting his fouls. Itâs about understanding the incident, the level of contact and whether the punishment fits what actually happened. âCole made a mistake. That doesnât automatically make the refereeâs next decision correct.â âAnd if weâre being honest, I donât think that incident was serious enough to decide a playerâs game with a red card.â [ This is the source @Tarzanjr554 ]#chelsea #chelseafc #tottenham #creatorsearchinsights #capcut

He kicked him to the floor afterwards. That could be a straight red in itself.

Doesnât matter if it was enough to send him off. It only needed to be enough for a booking which it was

our players should be serious in big games because they know England fa and referees are against Chelsea,in every big game like arsenal game where arsenal defender escaped red card, every official in England is against us.players should know that and focus on winning games and avoid stupid mistakes
